About Us

Kazin & Associates is a consulting electrical engineering firm based in Lone Tree, Colorado, with more than 35 years of providing electrical design services throughout the Denver-metro area and beyond. Our clients include business owners, developers, architects, engineers, contractors, and government agencies. Our top priority is to provide safe and efficient designs that meet our clients’ needs.

David Kazin, PE

President

David is a licensed professional engineer with nearly 50 years of electrical-engineering experience. He graduated from Newark College of Engineering in 1973. David founded Kazin & Associates in 1984. He is the President of the firm, and a project manager. David is a licensed P.E. in Colorado and several other states.

Bryan Kazin, PE

Vice President

Bryan is a licensed professional engineer with over 20 years of electrical-engineering experience. He graduated from Colorado School of Mines in 1997. He is the Vice-President of Kazin & Associates and a project manager. Bryan is a licensed P.E. in Colorado and several other states, and is a NCEES record holder with a Model Law designation.

Our Services

We work with our clients to create efficient designs that meet their needs, and adhere to applicable codes. We coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, utility companies, and building departments to navigate projects through the bidding, permit, and construction processes. All Kazin & Associates projects are designed and managed by licensed professional engineers. Electrical-Design Documents

Production of construction documents that typically include one-line diagrams, electrical load calculations, panel schedules, power plans, and lighting plans.

Lighting Layout and Photometric Studies

Interior and exterior lighting layouts, and lighting-level analysis. Production of photometric plans for site development and building permit processes, and to confirm requested lighting levels by jurisdictions or clients.

Expert Analysis

Evaluations and recommendations based on site surveys, as-built plans, proposed plans, client requirements, utility standards, and code analysis.

Energy Code Compliance

Analysis of applicable energy codes, incorporation of energy-code requirements into project designs, and production of necessary compliance documents. Projects are designed to comply with mandated lighting wattage limits, and include any load and lighting controls that are required or requested.

Construction Specification

Creation of supplemental information that includes information about materials and scope of work. This is typically included as part of the construction documents, but a separate spec book with additional information can also be provided.
